The Argentinean oboist and musical director, Yanina Yacubsohn, was born in Buenos Aires and studied modern oboe at the Provincial Conservatory Juan José Castro, where she obtained her Teacher's diploma in 2000. She then went to Paris where she entered the class of Marcel Ponseele (Baroque oboe) at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et Danse (CNSMD). In 2004, she obtained the 1st Prize In Baroque oboe.
In 2002, Yanina Yacubsohn created the Ensemble Claroscuro, which aims to explore other musical styles (jazz, traditional music ...) with old instruments. She regularly performs in many world renown Baroque ensembles, such as Les Arts Florissants (Director: William Christie), Opera Fuoco, Le Concert Spirituel, Les Musiciens du Louvre (Director: Marc Minkowski), Concerto Köln, under the direction of conductors like William Christie, Hervé Niquet, Marc Minkowski, David Stern, etc. |
