The Canadian alto, Colleen Woodhouse, had her early experiences in the Ottawa Regional Youth Choir, Ontario Youth Choir, and National Youth Choir, which lead her to study vocal performance at Carleton University, where she obtained her Bachelor of Music degree.
Colleen Woodhouse is a longtime member of the Ottawa Bach Choir and has had the pleasure of singing with the OBC since 2002. Singing in small, early music ensembles where each voice has to hold its own, yet blend with the whole, has been a passion for her. Some past small ensembles include Euphonia, Coro Capriccio, Pearls of Rhythm and Ottovoci, and she occasionally sings at weddings, funerals, Notre Dame Basilica, and with the Dickens Carollers during the holiday season. She has had the amazing opportunity to perform with the OBC in many spectacular international venues such as the Thomaskirche in Leipzig, Venice’s San Marco Cathedral, Notre Dame Cathedral of Paris, Carnegie Hall, as well as in England, Mexico and China. She currently lives in Ottawa, Ontario. |
