The Polosh tenor, Jacek Wislocki, is acclaimed as a specialist in Medieval, Renaissance and Baroque music, and as a gifted interpreter of the music of the 19th and 20th centuries. Jacek is renowned for his distinguished solo oratorio performances, including amongst others the Evangelist role in J.S. Bach’s Passions (BWV 244, BWV 245), Mass in B minor (BWV 232) and Christmas Oratorio (BWV 248) along with many of J.S. Bach’s cantatas. He is a much sought after soloist with many of the major Irish and Polish choral societies and orchestral ensembles.
As a member of the National Chamber Choir of Ireland, which he joined in 2003, Jacek Wislocki has made recordings for RTÉ and the BBC as well as toured Europe, USA, Brazil, China and Lebanon. In March 2004, he sang with them in Wroclaw Agnus Dei by Krzysztof Penderecki. In February 2010, he sang several J.S. Bach's Cantatas conducted by Blánaid Murphy in the frame of Orchestra of St Cecilia: Bach Cantata Project. His most recent performances involved a solo in the Sergei Rachmaninov’s All-night Vigil with Resurgam, and in Benjamin Britten’s Rejoice in the Lamb with Dublin County Choir. |
