The Dutch soprano, Rianne Wilbers, started singing in 2005 with the singing teacher Marjan Vree. She had four years of lessons, during which she developed passion for classical music and singing. She got training in classical singing at the Fontys Conservatorium in Tilburg with Hanneke Kaasschieter. After which she was admitted to the professional training of classical singing at the Fontys Conservatorium with Hanneke Kaasschieter. Rianne has meanwhile earned her Bachelor of Music and has certain lessons with Xenia Meijer and Hanneke Kaasschieter In the 3rd and 4th year of her Bachelor Classical singing, she received artistic training in modern/contemporary classical singing and music from Els Mondelaers. She is currently studying the Master of Music in Tilburg with Xenia Meijer. In addition, she gets singing lessons from Maarten Koningsberger, Sinan Vural and she gets drama lessons from Marc Krone She has also attended master-classes with Ian Honeyman, Henk Neven, Maarten Koningsberger, Johannette Zomer, Turid Karlsen, among others.
Rianne Wilbers performs regularly as a soloist. So she appeared as Dido in Dido and Aeneas by Purcell conducted by Arjan Tien and directed by Jeroen Lopes Cardozo; Monica in The Medium by Menotti, Marthe and Müllerin in Der Rose Pilgerfahrt by Robert Schumann. She has sung the soprano solos in Carmina Burana, Hör mein Bitten by Felix Mendelssohn and others. In addition, she was a soloist in oratorios as Matthäus-Passion (BWV 244), Johannes-Passion (BWV 245), Magnificat in D major (BWV 243), Weihnachts-Oratorium (BWV 248) and Mass in B minor BWV 232 by J.S. Bach, Petite Messe Solenelle by Rossini, Brockes Passion, HWV 48, George Frideric Handel, Requiem by Gabriel Fauré and others.
Rianne Wilbers has worked with contemporary composers such as Daan Manneke and Marco Mlynek; she sang with the Fc Jongbloed ensemble conducted by Aart Strootman on November Music Festival. In addition to her solo repertoire from early Baroque to modern, she has a lot of interest in chamber music. She likes to work with different instrumentalists and singers |
