The German mezzo-soprano, Beate Westerkamp, studied Musicology at the Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg im Breisgau. She studied singing at the Musikhochschule Freiburg under the direction of Beata Heuer-Christen, and obtained Concert Degree, Music Teacher Diploma,. She completed her postgraduate studies with Master of Music degree at the Musikakademie Basel under the direction of Kurt Widmer. She has been awarded in several singing competitions.
Beate Westerrkamp is active as a Classical singer, both solo and ensemble, since 1996. Her artistic career has led her to work under the direction of Rupert Huber, Hans-Michael Beuerle or Hermann Max, among others. Her repertoire ranges from Music of the 21st century to works of the Renaissance, having made numerous recordings for radio and television. In the field of early music she has performed concerts in Italy, England, France, Switzerland, Czech Republic and Ukraine. She was a member of the Dresdner Kammerchor (Director: Hans-Christoph Rademann). She is also a running trainer (running technique specialist, pose method), fitness trainer, singing and piano teacher. She was a personal trainer in Cologne area (March 2015-Novembe 2017). |
