Han Warmelink (Tenor)

Born: 1963 - The Netherlands

The Dutch tenor, Han Warmelink, is active as a tenor soloist who collaborates with several vocal and instrumental groups, particularly in works from the Renaissance and early Baroque. His regular solo repertoire includes the Passions and oratorios by Heinrich Schütz and numerous compositions from the North German school, such as the cantata cycle Membra Jesu Nostri by Dietrich Buxtehude. He is a frequent soloist in the cantatas and Magnificat (BWV 243) by J.S. Bach and performs the Evangelist part in his Johannes-Passion (BWV 245).

Han Warmelink is also a member of several vocal ensembles: the quintet Sequens, Josquin Desprez ensemble, (Director: André Cats), Capella Frisiae and Vlaamse Currende (Director: Erik van Nevel).
