The American bass and voice teacher, Adam Walton,studied at Timpanogos High School in Orem, Utah. He Utah obtained his Bachelor of Music degree in vocal performance from Brigham Young University (Class of 2010) and his Master of Music degree in vocal performance from Indiana University in Bloomington. He is in the process of finishing up the final requirements for my DM at Indiana University.
Adam Walton has performed in numerous shows and operas. Some of the shows that he has performed in include: Opera: both Figaro and Bartolo in W.A. Mozart's Le Nozze di Figaro, both Leporello and Il Commendatore in W.A. Mozart's Don Giovanni, Marco in Bolcom's A View from the Bridge, Su Cu in Phan's The Tale of Lady Thi Kinh (World Premiere), Paul Gauguin in Rands' Vincent (World Premiere), The Four Villains in Offenbach's The Tales of Hoffman. Don Alhambra in Gilbert and Sullivan's The Gondoliers; Oratorio: Haman in George Frideric Handel's Esther, Jesus in J.S. Bach's Johannes-Passion (BWV 245), Bass Soloist in G.F. Handel's Messiah.
Adam Walton has more than five years of teaching experience, most recently at Indiana, where he taught both group and private voice lessons. He is comfortable teaching both classical and popular styles. He currently lives in Bloomington, Indiana. He married Bonnie Barnett Walton (b April 18, 1987) on June 13, 2008. They have two children: Lydia Denise Walton and Rafe Gary Walton. Bonnie passed away in her home surrounded by her family on May 13, 2015, after a two-year-long fight with cancer. |
