Created in 2014 by its director David-Tristan Malinski and comprising around 20 singers, Ensemble Vide is a vocal ensemble whose repertoire, both liturgical and secular, extends from the Renaissance (Victoria, Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina), to the 20th century (Francis Poulenc, Benjamin Britten), including Purcell, J.S. Bach, Monteverdi... The ensemble produced the opera Dido and Aeneas by Henry Purcell in 2016-2017, the opera King Arthur by the same composer in 2017- 2018, as well as Amour, Gloire et Trépas, a pastiche of French Baroque operas (Charpentier, Lully, Rameau), in 2018-2019.
The Ensemble Vide rehearses at the Chapelle Notre-Dame-des-Anges in Paris, rue de Vaugirard. The Ensemble Vide association is also a member of the “Chapelle Notre Dame des Anges” (CHA.NDA) association and is involved in the cultural activity of the chapel. |
