The Czech soprano, Ludmila Vernerová, undertook her vocal studies at and graduated from the Prague Academy of Performing Arts and she debuted at the National Theatre, Prague, 1987. She has attended master-classes with Edith Wiens, Luisa Bosabalian and Jiri Kotouc and further appeared at the Bach Academy in Stuttgart (Germany).
After finishing her studies, Ludmila Vernerová accepted the job in the National Theatre Prague (H. Purcell: Dido and Aeneas-Belinda; Benjamin Britten: Beggar's Opera - Lucy Lockett).
Ludmila Vernerová is endowed with a pure and clear voice and excels in her ability to study new tasks very quickly, with sure intonation and rhythm. She is highly versatile and able to sing the most demanding pieces of music in all styles ranging from sacred music to operas and concert arias. She performs in concert halls, theatres and churches not only in Prague and other cities in the Czech Republic, but she is also invited to cooperate abroad.
Nowadays Ludmila Vernerová is soloist of State Opera Prague (W.A. Mozart: Zauberflöte - Pamina; W.A. Mozart: Cosí fan tutte - Fiordiligi; Meyerbeer: Robert le Diable - Isabella; Georges Bizet: Carmen - Micaela; Puccini: La Boheme - Musette; Antonio Vivaldi: Orlando furioso - Angelica etc.), Opera Mozart (W.A. Mozart: Le nozze di Figaro - La contessa; W.A. Mozart: Don Giovanni - Donna Anna), and chamber ensembles Trio cantabile, Verner Collegium, Collegium flauto dolce etc. |
