The German soprano, Inge Uibel, studied at the Musikhochschule Berlin, primarily as a student of Altendorf.
Inge Uibel made her stage debut in 1970 at the Schloßtheater Potsdam in Pimpinone by Georg Philipp Telemann. In 1970-1972 she worked in Potsdam and has since worked as a guest. She could be heard regularly at the Staatsoper Berlin, Staatsoper Dresden, and the Komischen Oper Berlin. Other guest appearances have led her to the opera houses of Leipzig and Halle (Saale) and the Theater von Rostock und Neustrelitz. She appeared in a vast repertoire of lyric-dramatic coloratura roles from all the range of the operatic literature, and excelled especially in the Mozart repertoire. She performed as a concert and oratorio soloist as well, also in a wide repertoire. |
