University of Miami Collegium Musicum (Choir)

Founded: Miami, Florida, USA

University of Miami Collegium Musicum is a 40-voice ensemble specializing in the study and performance of Baroque and Renaissance music, the Collegium Musicum is the chorus for the Miami Bach Society. In 1995, the Collegium sang J.S. Bach's St. Matthew Passion (BWV 244) for the celebration of the Miami Bach Society's 10th anniversary. The Collegium Musicum regularly works with nationally known soloists in performances of music by J.S. Bach, George Frideric Handel, Purcell, Antonio Vivaldi, and others. Open to undergraduate, graduate and community singers by permission. Donald Oglesby is Conductor of the Collegium Musicum.
