The Israeli contralto and conductor, Hanna Tzur [Tsur], is a graduate of the Musicology Department of the University of Tel-Aviv.
Hanna Tzur is the founder and conductor of the Ramat-Gan Chamber Choir. As a contralto, has appeared as a soloist with leading orchestras in Israel, and has made numerous radio and television recordings.
In addition to her work as a conductor and voice teacher, Hanna Tzur has served as the Musical Director of the Abu Gosh Festival for the past ten years. Held twice a year, this is the leading vocal festival in Israel, in which some 800 artists from around the world participate in a series of 18 concerts over a period of 3 to 5 days.
Hanna Tzur has conducted the Israel Chamber Orchestra, Israel Kibbutz Chamber Orchestra, Ramat-Gan Chamber Orchestra, and New Israeli Chamber Ensemble. She has also conducted members of the IIsrael Philharmonic Orchestra. |
