The American soprano, Angie Tyler, obtained her Bachelor of Music degree in in Vocal Performance from Cairn University; her Master of Music degree in Historical Performance from Longy School of Music of Bard College (2018-2021), studying with Pamela Dellal.
Angie Tyler is a Boston based soprano specializing in early music. Praised for her innovative ornaments and detail oriented musicianship, she sings a variety of music spanning many centuries from Hildegard von Bingen to W.A. Mozart to 21st century composers. She is especially interested in music by and about women, queer, and disabled people.
Angie Tyler has sung with The Boston Camerata, Amherst Early Music Festival, and Longy Opera Theater. Recent performances include Morgana in George Frideric Handel's opera Alcina at the Longy School of Music (November 2021), a concert celebrating the 500th anniversary of Josquin des Prez’s death and her graduate recital celebrating the life and death of nine women throughout history. Previous performances include Second Witch in Dido and Aeneas, Mighty Miniatures: a concert of Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach’s chamber music, and The Play of Daniel. |
