The German contralto, Claudia Türpe, graduated from the singing studies at the Hochschule für Musik "Hanns Eisler" in Berlin and the Hochschule für Musik Karl Maria von Weber in Dresden.
Claudia Türpe is engaged in the Zusatzchor of the Deutschen Oper Berlin and the Komischen Oper Berlin, the Theater des Westens, the former Metropol-Theater in Berlin's Friedrichstrasse. Her orientation is to the concert platform classical and modern music, performing at the Neuen Opernbühne Berlin. She has also had engagements with the Collegium Vocale Gent (Director: Philippe Herreweghe). Since 2000, she is a permanent member of the RIAS-Kammerchor in Berlin. Her Repertoire: classical concert alto parts.
Claudia Türpe is also a regular, very beloved guest of LUX-Eurythmie-Ensemble: She excelled in the programme "Meine Ruh ist hin..." where she sang 12 songs; in the programme "Ich lehne ab – zu sein" she sang 3 songs from the dramatic Tsvetaeva cycle by Dmitri Shostakovich and complemented wonderfully by her warm, natural voice propagating the "visible singing" Eurythmie. |
