The German baritone, Bert Mario Temme, studied singing at the Hochschule für Musik "Hanns Eisler" in Berlin and at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater "Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy" in Leipzig. In 2003 he finished his studies with the concert exam. He participated in master-classes with Peter Schreier, Elisabeth Schwarzkopf, Hartmut Höll and Peter Feuchtwanger.
Since 1995 Bert Mario Temme is a concert singer, including appearances at the Komische Oper Berlin, the Deutsche Oper Berlin, the Sendesaal des SFB, the Kammermusiksaal der Berliner Philharmonie, the Leipzig Opera and the Bach Festival 2000 in Thomaskirche Leipzig. In 1997 he made a concert tour of Japan. He has given other concerts abroad: in London, Zürich, in Poland, the Netherlands and in Austria. In 2000 he performed for Hörspiele Hörverlag Munich. Since 2001, he has appeared repeatedly as a guest in radio and TV broadcasts, such as Deutschlandfunk, ZDF, RRB, MDR and Arte. In 2006 he made concert tour in the USA with a Bach
cantata.
Bert Mario Temme lives in Berlin and works independently as a singer, pianist, speaker and moderator. In March 2006 he was heard at Leipzig's Thomaskirche singing the bass-part in the performance of Wolfgang Rihm's Deus Passus under the baton of university music director David Timm.
