The Italian soprano, Sonia Tedla Chebreab, graduated in Voice from the Conservatory G. B. Martini and in Musicology from the University of Bologna. She continued her studies, specializing herself in the 17th and 18th century repertoire working with artists of international renown.

Sonia Tedla Chebreab regularly performs in some of the most prestigious international festivals and venues, including: Lincoln Center 's White Light Festival in New York, Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, Théâtre des Champs -Élysées in Paris, Internationale Händel-Festspiele Göttingen, the George Enescu Festival in Bucharest, Rotterdam Philharmonic Gergiev Festival. She has performed in various Italian theaters, including the Teatro alla Scala in Milan, Opera de Lyon, Teatro Comunale di Bologna, Teatro Comunale in Ferrara, Teatro Fraschini in Pavia, Teatro Verdi in Pisa, Teatro del Giglio in Lucca and Teatro Goldoni in Livorno.
