The Irish soprano, Rachel Talbot, is an honours graduate of Trinity College Dublin and a former member of Christ Church Cathedral Choir, Oxford and The National Chamber Choir.
Rachel Talbot has sung with Opera Ireland and Opera Theatre Company and with a number of Early Music Ensembles, including the Consort of St Sepulchre, Dublin Viols, the Douglas Gunn Ensemble, Res Nova, Resurgam and Seanma (with whom she has recorded two CD's). In 2006 she recorded the CD "Flow my Tears" with the DIT Early Music Ensemble to mark the 400th anniversary of the Flight of the Earls, leading to performances in Louvain commemorating the founding of the Irish College there.
As soprano soloist Rachel Talbot has performed George Frideric Handel’s Messiah with Dublin Symphony Orchestra, J.S. Bach's St John Passion (BWV 245) and J.S. Bach's cantatas with Christ Church Baroque, and the St Matthew Passion (BWV 244) and St John Passion (BWV 245) with the Orchestra of St Cecilia. She has given recitals at the Bank of Ireland Arts Centre, Hugh Lane Gallery, John Field Room, Trinity College Dublin, the Pepper Canister Church and for the Dún Laoghaire Organ Recital Series. |
