The geman viola da gamba and cello player, Silke Strauf, studied History, German and Music at the University of Oldenburg, Germany. Subsequently, after completion of her viol degree with Sarah Cunningham and Hille Perl at the Bremen Early Music Academy, she studied by Philippe Pierlot.
Silke Strauf has performed with different ensembles including; Fiori Musicali, the Bremen Kammerphilarmonie, Tragicomedia, Arte dei Auonatori and at festivals including; Saraband auf dem Schleswig-Holstein Musikfest and the Styriarte Musikfest. In 2003, Silke was a first prize-winner of the Alte Musik-Treff in Berlin. |
