The Australian artist, musician, lawyer and author., Ian Barton Stewart, studied Painting at the Victorian College of the Arts from 2007 to 2010, completing a Master of Visual Arts Degree. He is also a Fellow of Trinity College London in Solo Piano Performance; and graduated with First Class Honours in Law and Economics from the University of Melbourne.
Aside from maintaining a legal practice, and publishing his novel, Ian Barton Stewart has released several classical piano recordings (all available on Amazon), including Piano Music of Frédéric Chopin, Satie and Scarlatti; Reflections; Franz Liszt and Frédéric Chopin B Minor sonatas; as well as an album of improvisations entitled "Day Dreams". He is also an artist who paints abstract oil paintings. He brings his experience in these different endeavours into his writing. His novel Love and The Art of Painting is an exciting work of fiction, involving the discovery of a masterpiece by Vermeer, and a thrilling court case. He currently lives in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. |
