The Austrian baritone, Norbert Steidl, obtained his Master of Music degree in opera and theatre music frm the Universität Mozarteum Salzburg (October 2001-July 2007), in the class of Heiner Hopfner and Barbara Bonney.
Norbert Steidl has worked with conductors such as Riccardo Muti, Josef Wallnig, Yoram David, Luís Otávio Santos, Emanuele Baldini and Abel Rocha. His repertoire involves roles from operas such as Guglielmo in W.A. Mozart's Cosí fan tutte, Papageno in W.A. Mozart's Die Zauberflöte, Leporello in W.A. Mozart's Don Giovanni, Geronimo in Il matrimonio inaspettato, Morales in Georges Bizet's Carmen, among others; Oratorios like Messiah by George Frideric Handel; passions, cantatas and masses by Robert Schumann, Heinrich Schütz, Haydn, W.A. Mozart, Schubert; and Lieder like Schubert's Winterreise; Robert Schumann's Dichterliebe; Songs of Travel by Ralph Vaughan Williams; Lieder by Johannes Brahms, Gustav Mahler, Strauss, Alban Berg, Sulzer and others. He cdurrently lives in Brazil. |
