The Ukrainian-born pianist, Victor Stanislavsky, immigrated to Israel with his family as a child in 1990. He began his piano lessons with Rieta Lesochin at the Rubin Conservatory of Haifa (1991-2001). He was generously supported by the America-Israel Cultural Foundation (AICF) scholarships and awards (since 2000) and completed a full 3 years service in the Israeli Defense Forces under the status of an “Outstanding Musician.” He obtained both his Bachelor of Music and Master of Music degrees summa cum laude, in music performance from the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music at Tel-Aviv University (2001-2008), where he studied with Daniel Gortler (2001-2005) and Professor Arie Vardi (2005) and where he now serves on the faculty himself. He has participated in numerous master-classes of world distinguished artists such as Murray Perahia, Leon Fleisher, Claude Frank, Menahem Pressler, Robert Levin, James Conlon, Pnina Salzman to name a few. At the age of 10 he has already won the 1st prize at a young talent competition in Israel. Since then he has won more than 13 top prizes and awards in competitions in Italy, Andorra, China, USA and Israel, including: 1st Prize and Prize for the best performance of an Israeli instrumental work (honored by Israel’s minister of culture and education) at the “Aviv” Competition, Israel’s most important national competition (2006); 1st Prize at Viardo International Piano Competition in New-York (2006); 2nd Prize & Special Prize for the best performance of a commissioned piece at Ettore Pozzoli International Piano Competition in Italy (2007); 2nd Prize at China International Piano Competition in Xiamen; 2nd Prize & Prize for best performance of a Spanish work at Andorra International Piano Competition (2009). In those competitions he has been accepted with raving reviews and having his performances broadcasted via Television and Internet.
Victor Stanislavsky is hailed as one of the most outstanding young Israeli pianists today. His international career has taken him to many countries in Europe, North and South America, China, South Korea and Australia. In the past concert season, he has given over 70 performances as a soloist, recitalist and a chamber musician to critical acclaim. As an avid chamber musician he has collaborated with such artists as violinists Christian Tetzlaff and David Garrett, cellist Gary Hoffman and Soprano Chen Reis.
Victor Stanislavsky has performed in prestigious venues including Carnegie Hall and the 92Y in New-York, Chicago Arts Center, Bass Performance Hall in Fort Worth, Texas, the ‘Rosza’ Center in Calgary, Canada, Berlin Philharmonie, Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, St. Martin in the Fields Church in London, “Tsarytsino” Palace in Moscow, National Performing Arts Center in Beijing, Forbidden City Concert Hall in Beijing, Shanghai Conservatory, ‘He Luting’ Hall in Shanghai, Qintai Grand Theater in Wuhan, Harbin Opera House and Seoul Arts Center, to name a few. In addition he regularly performs in all the major concert halls in Israel. His major festival appearances include “Ravinia” (Chicago), “Meet in Beijing”, “Shanghai Piano Festival” and the “Israel Festival” (Jerusalem), “Eilat International Chamber Music Festival”, and Maestro Gergeiev’s “Classic at the Red Sea Festival”. In 2008, he opened the Shanghai Piano Festival and also performed recitals in Canada; California, and France and numerous guest appearances in Israel. Moreover, he has recorded extensively for the Israeli Radio and Television and to Radio stations across the USA.
Victor Stanislavsky has performed as a soloist with the majority of Israeli important Orchestras including the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, Israel Symphony Orchestra, Jeruslaem Symphony Orchestra, Israel Chamber Orchestra, and abroad - with the Romanian State Philharmonic, New York’s Summit Music Festival Symphony Orchestra, Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano Giuseppe Verdi, Milan’s I Pomeriggi Musicali, China’s National Symphony Orchestra and China’s National Ballet Symphony Orchestra, KBS Symphony orchestra of South Korea and others, collaborating with such conductors as John Covelli, Kainen Johns, Jose-Maria Florencio, Nicholas Carthy, Li Xincao, Zhang Yi, Uri Segal, Gil Shohat and many others.
Victor Stanislavsky enjoys his professional time teaching as well and despite his young age, he has already given master-classes at the Shanghai Music Conservatory and at the Calgary University.He currently lives in Ramat Gan, Israel. |
