The Korean soprano, Hyeree Shin, obtained her Bachelor of Music degree from Hanyang University in South Korea; her Master of Music degree in Classical Voice (September 2016-2018) and her Professional Studies Certificate (2019) from the Manhattan School of Music in New York. In April 2019, she was first-place winner of the Manhattan School of Music’s prestigious Alan M. and Joan Taub Ades Vocal Competition, and received $20,000 in prize money to be used towards her professional development. Since June 2019, she is Artist at Merola Opera Program in San Frasncisco. She sang to role of Clorinde in Manhattan School of Music Opera Theater production of Jules Massenet's Cendrillon in New York City (December 2017); and the title role of Alcina in the Music Academy International Young Artists production of George Frideric Handel's Alcina at Trentino Music Festival in Mezzano, Trento, Italy (August 2018). |
