The German conductor, Werner Seuken, is the founder and director/conductor of the Niederrheinische Kantorei. After passing the examinations in 1969, he studied afterwards in Cologne mathematics and physics. Since 1968 he led different church choirs and took advanced training in choir directing. Already early he got intensive instrumental instruction in piano and cello.
In 1974 Werner Seuken took the part of the solo cello with a concert tour to the USA. He got his choir director training and theory training with the composer P.E. Ruppel and with Professor Armin Schoof. For 15 years he has extended, received his musical spectrum also to the range the jazz music instruction in the saxophone playing and in co-operation with the KAG Big made several CD’s. Werner Seuken works today as a director of study on the High School and teaches physics and computer science. |
