The Polish pianist, Kurt Seibert, received his comprehensive training as pianist and a chamber musician with Conrad Hansen, Hans Leygraf and Philipp Jarnach, studied music theory with Wilhelm Maler and finished his studies with the concert exam, in which he performed Max Reger Piano Concerto.
Kurt Seibert, who has received many prizes and honours, is a professor at the Hochschule für Künste in Bremen. He is an esteemed pedagogue and performs himself with interdisciplinary artistic projects works of M. Ravel, Franz Liszt, Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach, Paul Hindemith, Robert Schumann and Max Reger, with who he is connected for since his youth. Thus he played in 1966, at the 50th Anniversary of M. Reger's death, for the first time his Variationen und Fuge über ein Thema von Bach at the Musikhalle in Hamburg.
Kurt Seibert's extensive repertoire includes the entire piano works of Johannes Brahms, as well as his chamber music with piano, the violin duo and the Piano Quintet. He has also performed M. Reger's Piano Quintet and Pfitzner's Piano Quintet with the Wührer Quartet. Kurt Seibert leads regularly master-classes in Germany, the Czech Republic, Poland, Sweden, Japan, Korea and South America.
