The Israeli counter-tenor, Doron Schleifer, began his musical career as a boy-soloist of the synagogue of the Hebrew Union College in Jerusalem. After brilliant studies at the Conservatory of the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance with Miriam Meltzer, he continued his vocal training at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis with Evelyn Tubb, Gerd Türk and Andreas Scholl.
Doron Schleifer leads a solo career that leads him to perform within different ensembles mainly in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Israel, including Jerusalem Baroque Orchestra (Director: David Shemer), Schola Cantorum of Nuremberg, La Divina Armonia (Director: Lorenzo Ghielmi), La Capella Reial de Catalunya (Director: Jordi Savall), Musica Fiorita (Director: Daniela Dolci).... He is also part of the Profeti della Quinta ensemble, winner of the 1st prize in the York (England) Competition in 2011. With this ensemble he performs in prestigious festivals and on the radio. |
