The German pianist, George Friedrich Schenck, graduated from Hannover Music College; then learned from B. Ebert, studied at the piano class of Claudio Arrau, and then learned with American famous pianist Andre Watts for many years.
From 1986, George Friedrich Schenck was appointed as professor of Germany’s Düsseldorf Schumann Music College. From 1987 to 1988, he recorded L.v. Beethoven's piano sonatas and Paul Hindemith's piano work. Contemporary composer Adriana Hölszky dedicated to him a work named The Hearing Window for Liszt. Soon it was first performed in Frankfurt in 1989. Schenk has a wide range of reserve melodies. He even recorded the complete piano works of Johannes Brahms, and these recordings won the Best Brahms Annotation Prize. Besides, he also published an important paper Piano Skill with Creativity and Annotation. |
