The German baritone, Frederik Schauhoff, studied at Amos-Comenius-Gymnasium in Bonn. Since 2011, he studied in the class of Professor Lioba Braun at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln, where he is also studied in the Lied classes of Ulrich Eisenlohr, Stefan Irmer and Michael Gees. In addition, he rounded off his training with his former teachers Irmtraut Griebler and Ingeborg Danz, and in master-classes with, among others Barbara Schlick, Josef Protschka, and the "Deutschen Kammermusikkurs 2010" and the "Deutschen Liedakademie 2014". He won several prizes at the Jugend Musiziert, and scholarship from the Richard-Wagner-Verbandes.
Frederik Schauhoff has gained a lot of experience in all areas of classical singing in recent years. He is, for example, gives annual recitals in the Framework Programme of the Internationalen Beethovenfestes Bonn, sings successfully on the concert platform in the concert halls and churches in the Rhineland, as in his "sensational debut" at the Kölner Philharmonie as bass soloist in all six cantatas of Weihnachts-Oratoriums (BWV 248) by J.S. Bach in December 2013, or accepts opera roles as the main role of Narren in Ernst Krenek's one-act opera Das geheime Königreich, Jupiter in Offenbach's Orpheus in the Underworld, Nardo in W.A. Mozart's La finta Giardiniera, or Aeneas in Purcell's opera Dido and Aeneas.
The young baritone has appeared in concert halls such as the Kölner Philharmonie, Tonhalle Düsseldorf, Kammermusiksaal des Beethovenhauses Bonn, Schumannhaus Bonn, or Johann-Sebastian-Bach-Saal Köthen. He currently lives in Cologne, Germany. |
