The German choral conductor and church musician, Gerda Schaarwächter, studied music education and church music at the Kölner Musikhochschule (classes of H. Schroeder, H. Klotz)), conducting with P. Hammers. She studied singing with H. Marten.
Since 1963, Gerda Schaarwächter has been Kantorin at the Evgl. Kirchengemeinde Klettenberg, several years of secondary school teacher.
