The Brazlian tenor, Roger Scarton, began his musical studies in classical guitar and music theory at the age of 9 at the Instituto Musical Verdi, graduating from both. He graduated in Choral Conducting at UFRGS and began studying lyrical singing with tenor Decápolis de Andrade and Lori Kehler, at the Escola de Música da Orquestra Sinfônica de Porto Alegre (OSPA).
As a soloist, Roger Scarton has performed with several conductors, such as Túlio Berlardi, Tiago Flores, Antônio Borges Cunha, Ronel Alberti da Rosa and Frei Leonardo Kuhn. He was part of the cast of the show Nativitaten, with Christmas and sacred music, in Gramado. In the field of popular music, he recorded albums by Ramilonga, by Vitor Ramil, playing oriental instruments. He traveled through Brazil, Argentina and Switzerland and participated in concerts by Nei Lisboa and Felipe Azevedo. He is currently a member of Vocal TAKT, under the direction of Tiago Flores, and also with Coral Porto Alegre, directed by Gisa Volkmann. |
