The Swiss contralto/mezzo-soprano, Jeanne Roth, comes from a musical family in Bern. After graduating, she studied at the Konservatorium Wiesbaden, later at the Salzburg Mozarteum. She became a member of the Hofheimer Ensemble and the Salzburger Kammeroper, developed her style of interpretation in various master-classes and developed her musical personality through diverse activities in concert and opera.
A success on the opera stage was her interpretation of Cherubino in W.A. Mozart's Le nozze di Figaro. Jeanne Roth was with her sophistication a perfect cast. Herdramatic skills were demonstrated allowed her extending to new parts of the alto and mezzo-soprano range- recently Carmen, An impressive proof is he performance in the presence of the composer in Sutermeister;s Schwarzer Spinne as Christine.
Jeanne Roth has participated in various festivals as a soloist (Yehudi Menuhin Festival in Gstaad, Richard Richard Strauss-Tage in Garmisch Patenkirchen, Hermann Prey Festival in Bad Urach).
