The Spanish soprano, Ruth Rosique, began her musical studies with six years at the Academia Municipal de Música de Sanlúcar of Barrameda. She studied solfeggio and clarinete at the Conservatorio Joaquín Turina of this city. She initiated her studies of singing at the Real Conservatorio Manuel de Falla of Cádiz with Pilar Sáez, continuing them at the Conservatorio Provincial de Guadalajara with Ángeles Chamorro and the repertoire with Manuel Burgueras. She attended master-classes with Victoria de Los Angeles, Manuel Cid, Elena Obratsova, Kamal Khan, Carlos Mena and Donald Sultzen, among others. She also studied with Ana Luisa Chova at the Conservatorio Superior Joaquín Rodrigo of Valencia, where she obtained the Premio De Honor Fin De Carrera.
Ruth Rosique gave numerous recitales as soloists on stages as those of the Escuela Superior de Canto of Madrid, Palau de la Música of Valencia, Catedral of Cádiz, Teatro Falla of Cádiz, Teatro of Elche, the Teatro de Dos Hermanas (Sevilla), Centro Cultural la Beneficencia of Valencia, Iglesia de San José of Madrid (broadcast by Antena 3 Internacional) or the Museo de Bellas Artes of Valencia (under the director of the orchestra Manuel Galduf).
In 1997 Ruth Rosique recorded for the label Vihuela a CD, which was awarded by Callosa d' En Sarriá.
At the moment (2001) Ruth Rosique develops her concert work as a soloist and a member of various chamber groups. |
