The German tenor, Christoph Rösel, studied singing from 1972 to 1979 at the Hochschule für Musik "Franz Liszt" in Weimar, which he finished with an artistic and educational diploma. He is winner of numerous international singing competitions, such as Robert-Schumann or the Johann-Sebastian-Bach competition.
Beside numerous solo guest performances, Christoph Rösel is engaged by Deutsche Nationaltheater Weimar, the Landestheater Dessau and the Dresdner Semperoper. His opera and concert activity led him into nearly all continents. He has appeared as a soloist with renowned orchestras, choirs and conductors on the national and international scenes alike. They include the Gewandhausorchester Leipzig, Dresdner Kreuzchor, Prague Chamber Orchestra, Academy of St. Martin in the Fields and Berliner Philharmonie.
Since 1992 Christoph Rösel is a teacher for singing at the "Mozarteum" University of Salzburg/Innsbruck and has been engaged as a guest professor in different international courses.
