The Catalan mezzo-soprano, Yolanda Romero Ortuño, studied for a degree of flute and singing at the Conservatori Municipal de Música de Barcelona, where she obtained the degree of medium degree. Later, she earned Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Sciences from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (2000-2006). Later the study of the singing continued receiving the advice of Margarida Lladó and Marta Mathéu, combining the occupations of ambientologist and singer. She has been awarded at the heart of the Association of Friends of the Opera of Sabadell on the 2014-2015 course. She has received advices for interpretation and scene by Ada Andrés, and in the field of Lied she has received advice from Ruth Ziesak, Assumpta Mateu and Francisco Poyato.
Yolanda Romero has collaborated with various choirs and vocal groups, including Xantria, the Cor de Cambra Francesc Valls de la Catedral de Barcelona, Ensemble O Vos Omnes, GAC, Bach Zum Mitsingen and Bach Collegium Barcelona (Director: Pau Jorquera). She has recorded “Misses and motets” by Joan Cererols in 2007 (Mà de Guido). At the moment the study of the Lied with Natasha Tupin continues. |
