The Italian soprano, Margherita [Margarita] Rinaldi, studied in Rovigo.
In 1958 Margherita Rinaldi made her debut in Spoleto, as Lucia di Lammermoor. She sang at Milan's La Scala in 1959, as Siaide in Mose by Rossini; in Dublin in 1961 as as Carolina (Il Matrimonio Segreto) and Gilda; at Verona Arena in 1962, and 1969. She made her USA debut in Dallas in 1966, as Gilda. She sang at Glyndebourne Festival in 1966, as Carolina; at Bregenz Festival in 1974 and 1980, in Un Giorno di Regno, and as Alice Ford. She also appeared in Barcelona, Chicago, San Francisco, Wexford, Rome, Naples and Turin. Other roles include Amina, Norina, Linda di Chamounix. Maria in La Fille du Régiment, Bertha in La Prophète, Sophie. Ilia, Fiordiligi, Violena, Oscar, and the Marschallin. She sang at Maggio Musicale Florence in 1977-1978 as Amenaode in Tancredi and Helena in A Midsummer Night's Dream.
Margherita Rinaldi retired from stage in 1981. She had also many concert engagements.
