The German tenor, harpsichordist, organist and choral conductor, Sebastian Reim, was from 1980 to 1989 a member of the Dresdner Kreuzchor under the Kantor Martin Flämig. He studied church music (A) and singing at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater "Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy" in Leipzig.
Sebastian Reim was asked at first primarily as a harpsichordist/organist for chamber music or orchestral concerts, the latter with the Sinfonieorchester des Mitteldeutschen Rundfunks Leipzig, Leipziger Barockorchester, Salzburger Bachchor and Bach-Collegium München. Later came his appearances as a tenor soloist in the foreground.
Sebastian Reim sang, among other things, with the Thomanerchor Leipzig, Dresdner Kreuzchor, Sächsisches Vocalensemble Dresden, Neues Bachisches Collegium Musicum Leipzig, Kasseler Bach-Chor, Poznaner Nachtigallen (Poland) und and many ensembles for early music on historical instruments.
From 2003 to 2009 Sebastian Reim headed the Hallenser Madrigalisten as a conductor. |
