The German bass, Julian Redlin, was in a Knabenchor Hannover, where he got first professional training as alto and sang as a boy soloist in numerous concerts and recordings under the direction of Heinz Hennig, and other well-known conductors such as Ton Koopman. He also sang the 3rd boy in W.A. Mozart's Die Zauberflöte at the Niedersächsischen Staatsoper. In his music studies at the University of Kiel he worked intensively with early music, in particular the Franco-Flemish vocal polyphony until 500, whose works he sometimes re-edited and formed a speciall ensemble for the performance of this repertoire. He has participated in numerous master-classes, including Barbara Schlick, Emma Kirkby and Anthony Rooley and is a student of Erika Orth, Harry van der Kamp and Peter Kooy.
