The German soprano, Elisabeth (Lisa) Rave, began her training with the study of music education, majoring in violin at the Royal Academy of Music in Freiburg. Soon, however, the artistic focus shifted to singing.
Lisa Rave was, inter alia, member of the Kammerchor Stuttgart (Director: Frieder Bernius), Anton-Webern-Chor Freiburg, Collegium Vocale Gent (Director: Philippe Herreweghe) and sang soprano in the high Vocal-Jazz-Sextett Jazzualdo. She began an active concert career in oratorio and also developed keen interest in contemporary music, which led her to Berlin for RIAS-Kammerchor, with whom she began a long collaboration.
Today Lisa Rave lives as a freelance singer in Heidelberg. She is, inter alia, member of the Freiburger Solistenchor (specializing in music of Luigi Nono), Klangforum Heidelberg and Balthasar-Neumann-Chor. She has appeared in concerts at home and abroad. |
