The French baritone and choral conductor, Guillaume Rault, holds a Bachelor’s degree in Musicology, a DEM in singing, as well as a DEM, a DNSPM and a Master’s degree in choir conducting.
Guillaume Rault has worked with renowned conductors such as Lionel Sow, Hervé Niquet, Bernard Tétu, Nicole Corti, Paul van Nevel, Frieder Bernius, Celso Antunes, Régine Théodoresco... He was part of the chorus of the Opéra de Rennes, and the Chœur de Chambre Mélisme(s). He is currently a chorister at the Opéra de Lausanne, and a member of the Ensemble Vocal de Lausanne (Director: Pierre-Fabien Roubaty) and Ensemble Les Argonautes (Director: Jonas Descotte). He was assistant conductor on two productions at the Opéra de Rennes: Eugene Onegin and Georges Bizet's Carmen; as well as on a production at Angers-Nantes Opéra: L.v. Beethoven's Fidelio. He was also a member of Ensemble Les Argonautes (2018; Director: Jonas Descotte).
Guillaume Rault is the musical director of Virga Chœur de Chambre, a vocal ensemble that he created in 2016 in the Geneva region. Since November 2021, he is also director of Chœur des Pays du Mont-Blanc. |
