The Portuguse tenor, Nuno de Mendonça Raimundo, is a researcher at the Centro de Estudos de Sociologia e Estética Musical (CESEM) at Universidade Nova in Lisbon and an architect. He is currently pursuing a PhD in historical musicology at the same university and studying singing under the guidance of Armando Possante.
Nuno Raimundo is mainly dedicated to the study and interpretation of early music, especially Iberian polyphony from the 16th and 17th centuries. He has collaborated with several groups in Portugal, namely the Coro Gulbenkian, under the direction of several renowned conductors such as Michel Corboz and John Nelson, the ensemble Cappella dei Signori (Director: Ricardo Bernardes), and the ensemble Polyphōnos (Director: José Bruto da Costa). He currently lives in Lisbon. |
