The Brazilian bass singer and and medical doctor, Mauro R.N. Pontes, obtained his Doctor of Medicine degree from the Fundação Faculdade Federal de Ciências Médicas de Porto Alegre, current UFCSPA (1982-1987). He has his Medical Residency at Clinica Medica (Hospital São Lucas/PUCRS: 1989-1990) and in Cardiology (Instituto de Cardiologia IC/FUCRS: 1991-1992). He obtained his Master degree in Biological Sciences (Physiology) from the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (2001); and his PhD in Endocrinology (Diabetes) from ederal University of Rio Grande do Sul UFRGS (2006-2009/2007-2010).
Since August 2010, Mauro R.N. Pontes is Adjunct Professor of Pharmacology at the Universidade Federal de Ciências da Saúde de Porto Alegre (UFCSPA), and Associate Researcher at the Núcleo de Pesquisa Clinica do RS (NPCRS). He also performs as a bass singer in concerts of Bach Brazil (Director: Fernando Cordella) and Grupo Vocal Barroco (Director: Diego Schuck Biasibetti) |
