The Israeli baritone, Yair Polishuk [Polishook], studied music at the "MOR" Metro West high school in Ra'anana, and after his military service, began his singing and conducting studies at the Music and Dancing Academy of Jerusalem. As part of his studies, he is taking singing lessons with Marina Levit. He won the America-Israel "Sharet" scholarship for 2009-2010 and the "Ronen Foundation" Scholarship for young musicians in 2007.
Yair Polishuk sings as a soloist (Baritone) in concerts around Israel. Lately he has performed as a soloist in Yehuda Sharet's work - Hagada le'Pesah Yagur version, Requiem by Gabriel Fauré, Matthäus-Passion (BWV 244) by J.S. Bach, the role of Figaro from W.A. Mozart's opera Le Nozze di Figaro in the production of the Music and Dance Academy of Jerusalem and Serenade Op. 24 by Arnold Schoenberg. He has sang with the leading orchestras and choirs in Israel, among them - the Israeli Symphony Rishon le Zion, Be'er Sheva orchestra, Ra'anana orchestra and the music and dance academy in Jerusalem orchestra and choir, Adi choir, Moran vocal ensemble. He is a member of the Israeli Bach Soloists since its foundation in 2008.
Alongside his singing career, Yair Polishuk studies conducting with maestro Mandi Rodan and also acts as a co-conductor for Yishay Shtecler in "Adi" choir. |
