The German organist and church musician, Lucas Pohle, received his first musical training from KMD Johannes Arnold in his hometown of Ebersbach (Saxony). He studied church music at the Hochschule für Kirchenmusik Dresden (organ under Martin Strohhäcker) and completed his B degree with honors (2004-2008). After finishing his Master of Church Music degree at the Universität der Künste Berlin (2008-2010; organ under Paolo Crivellaro; improvisation under Wolfgang Seifen), he went on to do his Konzertexamina in organ with Leo van Doeselaar at the UdK (2010-2012) and organ improvisation with Wolfgang Seifen at the UdK (2010-2013), completing both degrees with honors.
Since 2010, Lucas Pohle has been the Kantor in Crostau. He initiated and participated in a number of different organ competitions. As both a soloist and continuo organist of the Cappella Sagittariana Dresden and Dresdner Barockorchester, he has performed in Germany and abroad. In 2014-2015, he studied harpsichord with Raphael Alpermann at the Hochschule für Kirchenmusik Dresden
Lucas Pohle has taught organ and organ improvisation at the Kirchenmusikhochschule Dresden since 2015, and figured bass and historical performance practice of Baroque Music at the Hochschule für Musik Carl Maria von Weber in Dresden since 2016. |
