The French soprano, Charlotte Plasse, obtained her DEM (Musical Studies Diploma) in singing together with diploma from the Institut d’Etudes Politiques. She continued her studies in Paris and joined the chamber choir Les Cris de Paris (Director: G. Jordan).
In 2005, Charlotte Plasse began working with the Chœur de Chambre Accentus (Director: Laurence Equilbey). In parallel, she guides her career to the stage and opera in particular. She has performed the roles of Hélène de la Cerisaie in Une Education Manquée, Frasquita in Georges Bizet's Carmen, Johnny in Le Petit Ramoneur, La Princesse in l’Enfant et les Sortilèges, Parthénis in la Belle Hélène. She participated in the creation of l’Orfeo Dolente by Belli with the Poème Harmonique. She was Fiametta and Adolphe in les Brigands, with the Cie Les Brigands. She sang the role of Amour in Orphée et Eurydice with Les Paladins.
Her attraction to contemporary art led Charlotte Plasse to take the lead role of Ana in the opera-film Surgir! by G. Letouvet, sponsored by Pierre Boulez and P. Chéreau. She collaborated with the composer J-C Marti for a performance around the exposition Name or Number by U. Von Brandenburg at Plateau-FRAC IDF.
From 2008 to 2010, Charlotte Plasse performed in LALALA, a creation of B. Lazar and G. Jourdain. She was also Valletto in The Coronation of Poppea for more than 40 performances (TGP de Saint-Denis, Opéra de Reims, de Rennes, Opéra royal de Versailles…), staged by C. Rauck, with Les Paladins. In spring 2010, she joined La cour du roi Pétaud for the Cie Les Brigands. She appeared in in Cachafaz, opera by O. Strasnoy, staged by B. Lazar. In 2011, she sang in Laurette in Le Docteur Miracle at Opéra Comique, conducted by F-X Roth, and was Bianca in Les Brigands, staged by J. Deschamps and M. Makeïeff. She played he role of Alvida in l’Egisto by Marrazzoli and Mazzocchi, staged by J. Corréasat at the Theâtre de l'Athénée. She also sang in the new production of the Cie Les Brigands. In 2012, she sang Gretel in Hänsel und Gretel by Engelbert Humperdinck, a production of the Péniche Opéra, conducted by T. Nemoto, stagied by M. Larroche.
In 2013, Charlotte Plasse co-wrote and created Yeeepeee!, comic mini-opera and dance together with Marianne Baillot at the Scène Nationale d’Orléans, Roche-sur-Yon, Chateau de Chambord, CCN de Tours ... In March, she performed Quartet No. 2 by Arnold Schoenberg with Quatuor Diotima at the Scène Nationale d’Orléans. Together with the Ensemble Phantasie, vocal quartet she initiated in 2011, she explores the German Romantic repertoire (Romantic Night Program) and the Hispanic repertoire around Indianas of Guastavino.
This season Charlotte Plasse performs Yeeepeee! at the Fondation Royaumont. With Hervé Robbe, she also creates la Tentation d’un ermitage, a piece for 3 singers and 3 dancers. With the Ensemble Phantasie, she stages and sings Amours Comiques, at Festival Musica Nigella. She performs regularly in Paris and the suburbs, the show Petit Bleu Petit Jaune, an adaptation of the book by Leo Lionni, for a singer and a musician. She also works with the new creation of the company Else/Marianne Baillot in collaboration with the composer Pierre-Yves Mace. |
