The German clavichordist and teacher, Anneliese Pflugbeil, showed an early interest in harpsichord and clavicord. She studied piano and harpsichord with Theo Blaufuß (pupil of Karl Straube) and C.A. Martinssen.
From 1941 Annelise Pflugbeil was a teacher for piano at the Seminar für Kirchenmusik (seminar for church music) in Stettin. In 1945 she re-created the Seminars (later Kirchenmusikschule) in Greifswald. Since 1946 she co-operated with Hans Pflugbeil in the Greifswalder Bachwoche, which he created. In vacation times she is deputy director of the Kirchenmusikschule. In 1989 she was appointed as as the church music directress, and in 1994 honorary professor at the Ernst-Moritz-Arndt-Universität. In 1999 she received the Culture Prize of the country Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. |
