The Russian counter-tenor, Ivan Petrov [Russian: Иван Петров], graduated from Mariinsk music school specializing in accordion and vocal. In 2007, he entered vocal department of Novosibirsk State Conservatory named after M.I.Glinka, where he studied as counter-tenor in class of Associate Professor Zhanna Vasilievna Chalova, Tyva honoured art worker. In 2014, he successfully graduated from conservatory with Master’s degree. He is nominee of several international and national contests.
In July 2011, Ivan Petrov took part in International Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival (Lübeck, Germany) as member of festival choir. In December 2012, he sang counter-tenor part in Dmitri Kurliandski opera Sverliitsy, opening night was held in design centre ARTPLAY (Moscow). Since 2012 to 2014, he was soloist of Novosibirsk vocal ensemble “Choir consort”. Since 2014, he has been working in "MusicAeterna" choir led by Theodor Currentzis. His repertoire includes chamber compositions, opera and oratorio arias. |
