The Swiss contralto, Claudine Perret, received her training by Roger Boss at the Conservatory of Neufchâtel, then from 1959 to 1965 in Vienna at the Music Academy by Elizabeth Rado, Alexander Kolo, Robert Schollum and Erika Rokyta as well as by Lilly Verra.
As an opera singer Claudine Perret appeared at the State Theatre of Berne (Pompeio in Giulio Cesare by George Frideric Handel, Annina in Rosenkavalier), at the Städtebundtheater in Biel-Solothurn, in Geneva and Lisbon. However the emphasis of her artistic activity was her working as a concert singer. Here she performed solo parts in oratorios (J.S. Bach, G.F. Handel, L.v. Beethoven, Mozart, Felix Mendelssohn, Frank Martin) and numerous Lieder. From 1968 to 1973 she was soloist in Ensemble Vocal de Lausanne. Concert tours brought her to Belgium, Austria, France, Italy and South Africa.
Since 1970 Claudine Perret worked as teacher in Lausanne.
