The American tenor, Cesáreo Pérez, is a graduate of California Institute of the Arts, and studied at the USC Opera Workshop and the Los Angeles Music Center Opera Workshop.
Cesáreo Pérez has sung with Pasadena Pro Musica, as well as with the Los Angeles Master Chorale, the Camerata of Los Angeles Chorus & Orchestra. He has performed lyric tenor roles with several opera companies in Southern California, including Long Beach Grand Opera, Opera Pasadena, Los Angeles Metropolitan Opera, Opera-a-la-Carte, Euterpe Opera and as a chorister with New York City Opera in Los Angeles.
His roles have included Alfredo in La Traviata, Tonio in The Daughter of the Regiment, Ernesto in Don Paquale, Count Almaviva in The Barber of Seville, Ferrando in W.A. Mozart's Cosí Fan Tutte, Bartolo/Curzio in W.A. Mozart's The Marriage of Figaro, Orpheus in Orpheus in the Underworld, Frederick in Pirates of Penzance and Nanki-Poo in The Mikado. He appeared as Lewis Carroll in the USA premiere of Boojum, presented by Pasadena Pro Musica. He is a resident of Altadena, California. |
