The American baritone, Isaac Ray Pendley, obtained his Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance/Opera with Senior Award for Academic Achievement from University of Louisville School of Music (2021), where he was also a member of Collegiate Chorale (Director: Kent Hatteberg). He currently studies for his Master of of Music degree in Vocal Performance/Opera at Eastman School of of Music, University of Rochester in the studio of Robert Swensen (since 2021; expected graduation: 2024). At Eastman, he has sung as a soloist in Johannes Brahms's Ein Deutsches Requiem with the Eastman-Rochester Chorus and Eastman School Symphony Orchestra conducted by William Weinert (December 2022); Cinderella’s Prince in Stephen Sondheim's Into the Woods (April 2022) and The Doctor in Anthony Davis' Lear on the 2nd Floor (November 2022) with Eastman Opera Theater; and Samuel in Gilbert & Sullivan's The Pirates of Penzance with Rochester Summer Opera (August 2022). He will also play the role Alvaro in the Eastman Opera Theater’s production of Daniel Catán's Florencia en el Amazonas in spring 2023. His other musical interests include country, bluegrass, gospel, and rock music. |
