The Scottish tenor, Stuart Patterson, studied voice with Winifred Busfield in Glasgow (Scotland).
Stuart Patterson performed sacred music in Glasgow, performing in George Frideric Handel’s Mass, Delalande’s De Profundis, and Haydn’s Creation. Having come to France in 1981 on a grant from the French government to complete his studies, he was engaged by the Groupe vocal de Francethen under the direction of John Alldisand took part in numerous concerts and recordings of contemporary music in collaboration with composers such as Nuñez, Xenakis, Dusapin, Hersant, and Luciano Berio.
Member of the Opera di Pisa (Italy) since 1990, Stuart Patterson has sung Ferrando in W.A. Mozart's Cosi fan tutte, Ottavio in W.A. Mozart's Don Giovanni, Basilio and Curzio in W.A. Mozart's Le Nozze di Figaro, Ramiro in La Cenerentola, Valletto and Lucano in L’Incoronazione di Poppea. In France, his repertoire has continued to develop: the Stabat Mater by Haydn with Jean Walter Audoli, Les Noces by Igor Stravinsky with Roland Heyrabedian, Le Pauvre matelot by Darius Milhaud with Bernard Desgraupes, Beau soir by Gérard Pesson with Dominique My. For Atelier lyrique of Tourcoing, he sang Bastien in W.A. Mozart's Bastien et Bastienne, Clem in Benjamin Britten's Le Petit ramoneur by, and finally, Basilio and Curzio in the new production of Le Nozze di Figaro under the direction of Jean-Claude Malgoire. |
