The Spanish conductor, and music teacher, Rubén Pacheco Mozas, is a doctor from the UMH and a piano teacher at the Conservatorio Superior de Música Óscar Esplá de Alicante. His doctoral thesis, "La Festa en los siglos XVII, XVIII, XIX. Estudio del Misterio de Elche a través de los libros de cuentas y las partituras conservadas" (La Festa in the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries. Study of the Mystery of Elche through account books and preserved scores) was the first to deal in depth with the musical facet of Misteri d’Elx. His research career has always been linked to the Assumptionist drama, on which he has made various scientific publications and papers. The most recent, on March 29, 2019 at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, where the researcher gave a lecture on the concepts of the La Festa at a research seminar, organized by the Sociedad Española de Musicología (Spanish Society of Musicology).
Rubén Pacheco Mozas is currently Professor at the Conservatorio de Alicante, Musical Director of Coro Canticum Novum Elche (since 2013) and Orquesta Musiké Hemerá, and Founder and Director of Semana Bach in Elche (since 2008). |
